Austin joined VRC in 2021 as Hospital Director. He brings over two decades of experience in veterinary medicine, having begun his career in 2002 as a veterinary nurse and spending 15 years in clinical practice before transitioning into leadership roles.

Prior to joining VRC, Austin served as Hospital Director of an ER and multispecialty veterinary hospital in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island in 2009.

Austin grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey, just outside of Manhattan. His clinical interests include advanced diagnostic imaging (CT/MRI) and neurology/neurosurgery, areas in which he worked extensively for many years and continues to assist with at VRC. He is also a strong advocate for mentorship, supporting professional development both within and beyond the administrative setting.

Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending summers at the Jersey Shore with his wife and two children, where they can often be found hunting for sea glass and rare shells or metal detecting. He also enjoys boating, water sports, traveling, and skiing.
