Dr. Charlotte Burns is a South Jersey native. She received her B.S. in Biological Science in 2015 from Drexel University. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania and obtained her VMD in 2019. After graduation from veterinary school, she completed a one year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Before pursuing specialization, she worked as an emergency doctor in Chicago for one year. Dr. Burns completed an anesthesia residency at the University of GeorgiaAthens. Dr. Burns enjoys all aspects of anesthesia and analgesia, but has a particular interest in management of critically sick patients, ultrasound-guided locoregional anesthesia, and mentoring veterinary technicians and veterinarians interested in learning anesthesia.
Dr. Burns lives in Philadelphia with her husband and snowshoe cat named Khan. Outside of work, Dr. Burns loves to garden, travel, and explore the city for new restaurants.
