Alexandra Palumbo, DVM, a Maryland native, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University in 2016. She then attended The University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her veterinary medical degree in 2020. During veterinary school, Alexandra spent time performing bench-top and clinical research in virology, cardiology, and neuropharmacology. She moved to Philadelphia following graduation, where she completed a small animal rotating internship at Penn Vet’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital. During her internship, Alexandra found her passion for emergency medicine, neurology, and surgery. She joined VRC’s Emergency and Critical Care team following her internship in August 2021.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner Josh, snuggling with her cats “Mango” and “Newton”, cooking, going to national parks, traveling to new places, and reading.
