Upcoming Continuing Education Event
A Review of the Down Animal and When to Refer
Presented by,
Christine Senneca, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
Wednesday, February 28, 2018
7:00pm
Veterinarians are often presented with patients that are non-ambulatory, and these cases have either an acute or chronic onset of signs. In this lecture we will review the neurologic examination and neuro-localization for animals with spinal and neuromuscular disease, the most common differentials, and a few rather unusual causes of signs. Furthermore, we will discuss some important conditions that frequently mimic neurologic dysfunction and go through the recommended diagnostic steps, treatment options, and associated prognoses, including what can easily be performed at a primary care facility.
Lecture provides 1 credit of complimentary CE to veterinarians and veterinary technicians through RACE.
